I could, I was planning on making a village on stilts above water and something in a huge cavern underground. I'll do some experimenting in creative mode and see how things work out.

im gonna do like raf and test in creative so that i can see how this will all set up. idk if people will be able to build their house how they want (maybe different tiers of the building give more building area) something to tinker with

I don't get on as much as I would like to, due to school and my parents making me let my three siblings play. But when I get a chance I'll try building it and post it here.

heres a rough design of the thing. this is only a quarter of the building and it took me a good 4-5 hours in creative mode to make it. i do have a .gif in the mix that shows the dimensions. its huge lol. seeing how only 1 quarter took me 4-5 hours, the entire thing is looking to take 16-20 hours and thats in creative mode. tell me what u all think Very Happy

wow ksun this is awesome. going to take a hell of a long time but i love the design. plus the function of the areas could make it a really cool mall, hotel, general building spaces for players. the list goes on. i love this project. if I'm in need of cobble stone on the new map ill come over and help u dig Very Happy

haha ty. i could use all the help. then again i also wanna build my dungeon XP. to many projects planned!!! and ya i was thinking of making that this will be the design for a town. it opens up soooo much more room to build without having to spread your town over alot of land. it also gives u a place to build your house and then something gigantic on the surface. i might wanna grab arti for this one if hes not gonna be working on a huge project of his own Razz

any help i get on any of my projects will be much appretiated since im digging and building almost 100% underground. and that rough design made in illustrator might look small, but the dimensions are effin huge. with each level you have 9 blocks to build up. u can fit a 2 story building in that.

ok guys finished prototype is up for display. kinda cheated and just used MCEdit to copy and paste the innitial corner to make the full thing. worked out better than i anticipated Razz

(as you can see some layers are a bit different and textures arent set to how i want them. im not to worried about that since it is just a prototype... unless jon would take it and edit it into the map?? lol jk.. but seriously.. that would be sick...)

I kind of got sidetracked and ended up making a skyscraper, but I figured I might as well post it here anyways. And yes, I did make it entirely out of colored wool.
I haven't done any interior yet, so here is how it looks from the outside:

I made it by stacking 9 circles with a radius of 32 blocks, adding a floor, then making 9 more circles with a radius of 5 less than the previous story, making a floor, and so on.
I could convert it to a earthscraper if i wanted to, by inverting it.

looks like a blue cake XP looks sick man. and ya my project doesnt have an interior either. it will be built as the town grows. my entire point of the build was to reduce the size requirements of a town while keeping a community feel. (i will also start up my wookie tree city design shortly)

Your's looks pretty cool, I'm on 1.8.1 and have my siblings saves, so I cant check out your map, so I was wondering if you sould tell me about the dimensions?
Did you decrease the size of each floor, or just the central hole? If so then by how much? Distance between floors, starting dimensions, etc

the dimensions are listed on draft that i have in the same album as all the screenshots. they arent the final sizes (i think...) but they will be relatively close to what are shown on that blueprint
